Poem #1
Past’s Pages In A Diary

As I Turned the pages of my diary,
I found a lively scenery-
Which was printed by my young mind,
And brushed with my feelings childish and blind.

My mind’s refreshed as I went into past’s infinites-
Towards the old yet young sites;
Where I with my siblings
Remained lost in gaming and playing.

Beneath the mammoth trees of my school’s garden,
I passed almost all the time in my kindergarten;
It seemed as the trees said to me,
“Dear child , thy with thou presence doth cheer our family of trees.”

Then with another turning of page ,
Opened another of my early life’s stage;
The stage when I realized evil and sage-
The stage which cleared my mind’s uncultivated hedge.

The 12 o’ clock phone calls ,
The spending of time in coffee stalls;
With my buddies breaking rules-
Without lending ear to those who called us fools.

The pranks in the tuitions-
Caused an unique conflation ,
Along with the noise that seemed so sweet,
And sweeter were the demands for the un-ceremonial treats.

Those quarrels during the cricket matches,
Were full of selfish yet innocent touches;
The trials of climbing roofs to get a ball-
Sometimes caused hurt as we suffered a thrashing fall.

The eating of tiffin in classes,
The uncontrollable tongue in public busses-
Though annoyed some in many,
They all seemed to us quite funny.

As we fought with our lessons late at night,
Most days we lost our fight-
Trying hard to compete with the ‘sleeping mistress of night’
Who touched our eyes and souls but never came into sight.

As I matured more to get into the higher,
I got molded with a typical satire!
A hard wish grew in me to develop freedom’s attire-
But an irony of life tangled me over a dreadful fire.
The fire in which I am still-
And will be in till
I jilt this bower with my feels.

I trembled back into the present-
From the grotto of the spent;
As a biff from the heartless wind through the window-
Fluttered the pages of my youth’s shadow.

It seemed to my bewailing mind-
Those dramatis in the past if I could find-
In my life, which had conk in my sojourn-
And if I could find those jocose days that I had earned.

I have opened this diary after a decade of desolation-
And I conjecture these turning of pages would be decennial
Till my reinstallation.
Poem #2
An Ideal Leader

The one who is attached to this very soil;
The one who can ignite minds into burning coils-
To melt away impurity of characters,
To built from ashes a fear-free nature.
The one to whom humanity comes before honesty,
The one who loves woman without being lusty-
To do good to even the worst stricken men-
To think and muse sane.
The one who thinks beyond sages;
From before civilization to future ages –
The one to who the only cast is human,
The one who can join the different color threads of all religions-
To abridge richness and poverty,
To create among all an image of love’s deity.
The one whose heart is purer than Ganges;
The one whose mind is sharper than swords;
The one who strives towards perfection;
The one who can raise voices of friction-
To mesmerize people in good thoughts,
To enable them to earn descent lots.
The one who remains unshakable in storms of politics;
The one who remain unmovable in dust of critics,
To lead the ship of the country,
In a sea drunk with Nature’s fury.
The one who has the power to turn evil into good,
And ensure all a three time food,
The one who promotes greenery-
Let alone with the growth of machinery.
The one who salutes the heritage of our culture-
And preserves antique infrastructure.
The one who nurtures creativity,
And appreciates research activity.
The one who can mould a free thinking Nation,
Imbibed with discovery and creation.
The one who never let his emotions sway his principles-
And doesn’t in his work any ripples.
The one whose eyes are calm and compassionate-
Yet of a stature unmoved by any rough state.
The one who uses the power of youth,
To establish in the dreary of lies an eternal truth.
The only one who take pride in country’s glory-
And binds all corner pages into a Nation story.
The one who leaves his throne-
When struck by mourn
And walks to those places
To remove the unhappy traces.

The one who tracks the past, modifies the present and improves the future-
He is an ideal leader who can make us shine with heavenly lusture.
Poem #3
Mystification In Fruition

The table of logs-
Were crawling up in my eyes;
And then Jumbling
As I tried to swallow them
From mouth to heart.

Each time I tried to grasp them-
In my mind’s cage
Some were pushed open.

My masters told me to avoid this
And replace swallowing by chewing,
But this shortcut can create a record !!
And what if I fail ?
Just a week’s sad trail.
Poem #4
Livelihood

I watched from my sea hotel sipping tea,
A group of fishermen toiling in the sea-
For the sake of their livelihood-
Which has been passed to them from their parenthood.

Up in the sky a scenery was brushed
By the anonymous evening painter who paints the vast.
All visitors were engrossed gazing at that,
With soundless throats that have been numbed
By the tranquil, enchanting, sketching of God’s thumb.
But ‘it’ was insignificant to the men catching fishes-
As “A Portrait is null to them than Daily dishes”.
Poem #5
My Collection

A huge collection of tunes could be seen in a row-
Showcased beside my gramophone,
With different titles and pictures on them,
Through which they used to attain the first fame.

The cassettes have bound the songs in their reel;
So varied, some touch the heart and some yet to feel.
Some have got sealed with times forward strides-
And some, yet dominant with full might.

I hear them to make them friends of mine,
In times of roughness and shine;
They are all my own-
Over years, a typical dedication towards them I have shown.
I ‘ve grown old ,
To my son I have told-
To take care of them
And preserve their name.

I now hope to hear those artists -
In Heaven’s choir live!
Where eftsoons I’m going to thrive.

Call for Global Peace.

Dear Poets,

Poets have a role to play apart from writing poems and that duty is social duty.Infact all human beings should work even a little bit for the upliftment of the society and culture-so that no one remains poor, no poet faces the agony of being not published , NO ONE FACES THE RAGE OF TERRORISM and no one in this world remains unhappy.I along with some other poets formed the United Minds with a mind to restore World Peace and do all sorts of good activities in this world.UMFPS aims to… Continue
